Vered Galor was born in Czechoslovakia
and grew up in Israel. In 1968 she moved to Los Angeles
where she received her Associate degree in Architecture,
BA in Fine Art and MA in Sculpture.
During the seventies she worked as a glass
artist creating mixed media hand blown glass sculpture.
In 1981 she established an Art Consulting firm focusing
on curatorial work. She did large group shows, gave
lectures, participated in discussions and wrote art
programs to encourage more integration of art into architecture.
In 1989 Vered Galor decided to renew her
artist career, this time in photography. She taught
photography between the years of 1992 to 2003. Currently
she is concentrating on creating her photography based
art.
Vered creates Polaroid Manipulated images
from an SX-70 camera. While the emulsion is still soft,
she will move it around with various tools, creating
a surreal image.
