Woodturning artist, Mike Kornblum creates distinctive wood bowls and wood sculptures from hand selected solid pieces of Manzanita root-burl wood.  Each wood bowl or wood sculpture is a one-of-a-kind creation. Mike's works are pieces of art developed using the process of woodturning.  With 15 years of woodturning experience behind him, artist Mike Kornblum continues to study his craft to further his talent and expertise as a wood turning artist.

Wood bowls and wood sculptures are created with the utmost craftsmanship and care.  Each piece is meticulously wood turned until the beauty of the root-burl comes shining through.  “As I create a bowl or piece using Manzanita wood, I generally follow the form of the burl and try to bring out the beauty beneath the surface of the wood.  When the piece starts taking shape and I see the possibilities of what it's going to be, that's when I get excited about what I do.”
